Purpose of the course

• To help drivers recognize dangerous driving habits and errors that lead to collisions.

• To change dangerous driving habits by changing attitudes about driving.

Course requirements

• Six hours of instruction including two breaks and a meal time.

• Student participation through interaction with instructor and other students.

• A grade of at least 70 on a 20-question test given at the end of the class.

• Curriculum approved by the Texas Education Association (TEA).
• Instructional videos and other audio/video aids supporting driving safety.
• A booklet/study guide containing the key points of the course.
• Course test.
• Course evaluation (optional for students).
